We are not yet distributing this kind of switches and sockets, the sound activated wiring accessories, therefore, we don’t have too much information that we can offer you on the subject. Sounds like an interesting and very futuristic range of accessories though…

I have been tasked with the job in my company of reducing our companies carbon footprint by reduction of our electrical enegy consumption.
One of the processes I want to implement is the installation of Sound activated domestic light switches, such that when people enter offices sound from people speaking or moving about in the rooms switch on lighting in the rooms.
If no sound is detected after 5 minutes for example, the lights are automatically switched off.
I have tried the same process with PIR light switches, however there appears to be problems with sensitivity with these type of switches.
The alternative is using sound activated switches. Can you advise of any manufacturer or suppliers in the UK who manufacturer or supply such devices?
